My 300 hours of on-the job training was finally began, on my first day of on-the job training it was on November 25, 2019, I was so excited to learn new things about the hotel and also to meet the employees who’s gonna teach us about the housekeeping. As I arrived in 10.75 Dormitel at exactly 12:30 pm I was feeling nervous because I didn’t know who to approach and have no idea of what to do. But thank God the guard was so approachable and he lead me to the front desk. Then one of my classmate approach and introduce me to our supervisor or Room Attendant and our RA gave us a task to clean the room. As we began our task to clean the hotel room I thought its just like cleaning my own room but I was wrong it wasn’t easy to clean the hotel room. Together with our cart we strip the sheets, clean the bathroom, taking the garbage out, dusting the room and finishing touches. After cleaning the hotel room we also clean the garden, we brush the tiles, sweep the leaves and other garbage. We also clean the comfort room and that was my first time to clean it. I worked until 10:00 pm and it was a long and tiring day for me. On the 2nd day I already know about cleaning the rooms and stuff. I was working with my classmate and the same RA who taught us housekeeping. The RA was so approachable she taught us well and I followed the instructions carefully. On the 3rd day the usual we clean the rooms, mop the hallway and clean the restroom. As I worked I begin to realized how hard to worked is. I realized that work isn’t easy if you don’t have skills and knowledge but if you have the courage to learn you will be able to know whats that’s and this’ and you will able to help yourself too. As I end this blog I just want to say that Kudos to all the workers!
